Rear Drop Out replacement for SP's Trek

Fixed an older Trek bike this weekend. Rear Drop out sheared in half. Could not find a replacement so I ordered two new ones and removed the old ones. Kind of tricky getting the new drops in the old miters but it worked out well and the alignment is spot on. Fun project.

Cool post you got here. I'd like to read something more concerning this theme. Thanks for giving that material.

Hey, I just had the exact same fracture happen on my old Trek (my primary transport, unfortunately). Can I ask where you ordered the new stays from? how long it took? would i need to find a welder to help me?
... and how's it holding up a year later?
